Design your own team training in 2017

Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Give your staff and kitchen garden program a boost with tailor-made professional development in 2017.

Whether you want to link the curriculum or bring literacy and numeracy to the kitchen and garden, share the love of hands-on learning with new staff, design sessions for the early years or just enjoy a really fun team-building day, the Kitchen Garden Foundation’s experienced team can help you design your ideal professional development session.

These sessions are an ideal opportunity to bring staff together for a nourishing day of shared learning that can be focused on the specific goals and needs of your kitchen garden program.

Earlier this year Tenison Woods College in Mt Gambier, SA, brought their staff together for a customised professional development day that focused on how to grow their program and fully integrate it with their curriculum.

The school’s Kitchen Garden Program Coordinator noted that the professional development “was a great opportunity for us to easily deliver effective and accurate information to a large cohort of staff in a cost-effective manner.”

Ajuga School, a special school in Glenfield, NSW, also took advantage of the customised training opportunity this year.

Ajuga used the curriculum day before the start of Term 1 to bring staff together for a rewarding team-building experience that focused on teaching new staff about their kitchen garden program and re-engaging existing staff.

So wherever you are in your kitchen garden journey, our experienced training team can craft a customised training day that will enrich your kitchen garden program and engage your whole school community.

The Foundation has a jam-packed calendar of professional development in 2017, so get in early to avoid disappointment and book your tailored all-staff training now.
