'Losing the Plot' exhibition in SA

Friday, January 22, 2016

The Migration Museum in South Australia invites kitchen garden schools and centres to visit their new exhibition ‘Losing the Plot’.

This fabulous exhibition takes students on an explorative and historical journey of productive food gardens across time, including Aboriginal selection and cultivation, market gardens, home gardens, community gardens and, of course, school gardens.

The work of one of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program Schools, Kilkenny Primary School, is even featured within the exhibition!

With its strong education focus, school groups visiting the exhibition can dig deeply into various curriculum topics relating to the subjects of Geography, History, Design & Technology, as well as the cross-curriculum priorities.

Take advantage of free self-guided tours or book in for a one-hour guided education program for $4 per student. The exhibition runs until June 2016.

The Foundation congratulates the Migration Museum for a fantastic exhibition and we hope many SA schools and centres in the kitchen garden community are able to pop in and check it out!
