South Coogee Public School is located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and comprises extensive landscaped playground space and buildings to accommodate 22 classes. The school population is made up of students from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Thirty five percent of students come from language backgrounds other than English, 10% of students come from Australian Defence Force families and 3% identify as indigenous Australians.
