Adaminaby, the home of 'The Big Trout', is located in the Snowy Mountains. Adaminaby was relocated from its original location in 1956-57, when Lake Eucumbene was constructed as part of the Snowy Scheme. The school was also moved during this period, which included the original Kiandra School House.
