Lightning Ridge Central School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 school, located in the remote mining town of Lightning Ridge. It has an enrolment of approximately 420 students. Almost 40% of the students are Aboriginal. A further 5% come from a language background other than English-speaking. The school is very physically attractive, with new buildings and facilities.
