East Kalgoorlie Primary School caters for K - 7 students who are bussed in from all over Kalgoorlie/Boulder. All but three students are Aboriginal and most live in poverty, so we provide breakfast, lunch and fruit daily. Transciency is a real issue with often 50% of the students moving in and out of the school each year. Much focus is put into early intervention and minimising the development of a gap, while also celebrating cultural identity.
