Congratulations Mt Molloy!

To celebrate twenty years of the Kitchen Garden Program last October, we invited the kitchen garden community to show us the impact of their program – via video.

We were astounded by the talent of the students – not just in their own kitchen garden programs, which we know about – but in their creativity in putting together beautiful video pieces that showed us their enthusiasm of and joy for the program.

But there can only be one winner (although our runners up got some fun prize packs too): and the lucky winner is… Mt Molloy State School.

We love the breadth of their video – how it shows so many aspects of their program, the different spaces they use and the many fun activities, and also how they show us the way the program incorporates so many other subjects into it, such as English, art, commerce, science and maths.

What an inspiring video from Mt Molloy. The students are shown ‘growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing’ – activities at the heart of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and also we see how many educational themes are being explored and how versatile and engaging a great kitchen garden program can be.
