This introductory one-day training is open to invited health professionals interested in a one day immersion into the Kitchen Garden Program.  It incorporates hands-on, skills-based instruction in the kitchen and garden learning spaces and opportunities for constructive group work, with the aim of providing attendees a full overview of how this Program may benefit school communities.

Details

Kitchen Garden Program Training Day is a specially scheduled one-day session.  It is aimed at invited local professionals who would benefit from a deeper understanding of how the Program operates and how to make the most of it for their school (and wider) community.

The training covers some of the main elements of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program philosophy and delivery. It centres on the hands-on aspect of the delivery of kitchen and garden classes, but also includes sessions on the philosophy and integrating the Program.

The training day will be led by a team of experienced facilitators who will provide opportunities for you to ask questions and share experiences. The day will also feature a delicious shared lunch based on Kitchen Garden Program recipes.

We look forward to working with you!

Additional Details

Hands-on kitchen and garden sessions form a big part of the day, so please wear closed shoes, and clothing suitable for a session in the garden.
