Wendy van Dort is an experienced gardener, Garden Specialist at Elwood PS and environmental educationalist, and joins us today for a brief foray into the wide world of edible indigenous food plants.

Details

These plants are not only beautiful and functional, they are most often incredibly drought-tolerant and adaptive to the local region, and as such may provide welcome additions to the home garden.

This workshop will provide a hands-on learning investigation into bushfoods and how to grow them, plus some great ideas of how they can be used in the kitchen.

Additional Details

Please wear comfortable clothing for kitchen and garden workshops and closed shoes. Bring a hat/wet weather gear/sunscreen as appropriate, a camera, notebook and pen.
