Steve McCabe from the Beyond Gardens team (sponsored by Waterwise) will lead the group in this introduction to bushtucker plants in the school garden. Many schools want to include a space dedicated to indigenous food plants within their school gardens – Steve will show you how.

This workshop focuses on some of the most common Australian indigenous food plants that can be grown in the Perth and wider Western Australian region. The group will be guided through a variety of edible indigenous plants, or 'bushtucker' plants, discuss how to grow them and use them in the kitchen, and how they fit within the school garden.
