Spring is on its way – now is the time to get propagating and preparing for bountiful spring and summer crops. This introductory session will cover the basics of propagation: investigating what it is, why it is a great idea for the home gardener and how to begin the process in your own garden.

This is Part 1 of the two-part Garden Workshop September Pack – you may book into parts separately, but we highly recommend you book the two together for a full training package, as well as receiving a discount on the total package.

Details

Held at our Learning Centre in Melbourne, gardening expert Pete Huff will guide you through an introduction to the various methods of propagation that, once mastered, will ensure future crops for your vegetable garden at minimal cost. Whether it's preparing and sowing seeds, planting out small seedlings or using other techniques such as growing from cuttings or layering, a solid grasp of propagation concepts will see your spring and summer garden flourish.

For more detail and hands-on practice, the Advanced Seed Propagation session will follow this one.
