Getting Started for Early Childhood is an introductory webinar is suitable for anyone new to the Kitchen Garden Program in early childhood. 

This webinar is designed to give participants an insight into the pleasurable food education philosophy, key tips on establishing a garden and kitchen in your early childhood service and inspiration for kitchen and garden experiences and ways to link these to learning as well as the tools to build a sustainable program.

In this interactive webinar and through the provided resource collection, you will:

  • understand what pleasurable food education is
  • consider how to establish a garden and kitchen in your context
  • develop a sense of what kitchen garden classes and experiences look like and explore linking them to learning
  • see what types of learning opportunities, resources and support are available
  • ask questions about what you need to get started in your kitchen garden program.

Additional Details

The online workshops will take place using Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants before each event. You can join the workshops using a computer or tablet.

A recording of each workshop will be sent to participants after the session.
