Soil development expert John Daly will take the group through the whys and hows of creating ideal growing soil, focusing on the importance of soil and composting in the garden. A strong and healthy growing medium is the best way to ensure strong and healthy crops – so ensure your school garden is the best it can be by learning some tips and techniques from an expert.

John Daly has worked in the compost and soil development industry for over 20 years and supplied the growing mediums for a Sydney University study into how indoor plants reduce VOCs (volatile organic compounds), which contribute to 'sick building syndrome'.
John will bring his considerable knowledge of soil organisms, compost materials and soil improvements to this workshop. |
