This new-in-2013 series of Kitchen Cabinets aims to bring local kitchen garden communities together to discuss all things Kitchen Garden Program, and take advantage of the expertise of Stephanie Alexander and key Foundation staff members.

Open to all, including new and established Kitchen Garden Schools, schools wishing to learn more and any interested members of the public, we welcome you to join us for one of these informal evenings.

Details

Take this rare opportunity to spend some time with Stephanie Alexander and some experienced Foundation team members, sharing the journey and successes of the Kitchen Garden Program to date and examining the ways the National Program is now more flexible, affordable and accessible for schools across Australia.

Each Kitchen Cabinet session will draw on staff experiences from local Kitchen Garden Schools, and will cover the following topics:

  • The Philosophy of the Kitchen Garden Program – what, why and how
  • The ‘Flexible Model’ of the Kitchen Garden National Program – an introduction
  • The benefits of the Program, including curriculum reinforcement
  • How the Foundation supports Kitchen Garden Schools

These informal sessions will also allow for plenty of opportunities for Q&A and discussion. So if you are interested in joining the Program, are a newly joined school or even one of our long-running Kitchen Garden Schools, we invite you to attend.

Please note places are limited and registrations are essential.
