The Foundation is thrilled to once again have Longrain Head Chef Martin Boetz present this popular workshop. Committed to top quality but also generous in sharing his top tips and recipes, Martin will lead the group through some of the key elements of modern Thai food, with opportunities for discussion and learning via hands-on techniques. You’ll learn from a top Australian chef, you’ll have fun and you’ll eat really, really good Thai over a lunch and a glass of wine. What more could you want?
Martin will present a range of surprise Thai recipes based on what’s good on the day, and guide the group through all the techniques they need to learn to produce the classic, and modern, Thai flavours he is famous for. This workshop was a sell-out in 2012 so get in quick!
Details
Born in Germany, Martin's interest in Thai food was cemented when he worked with David Thompson at Darley Street Thai in Sydney. He then moved on to run David's second restaurant in The Rocks, Sailor's Thai, from which point he became Executive chef at Longrain in both Sydney and Melbourne, and has also written Longrain Modern Thai Food (Hardie Grant Books).
