Rosa Mitchell, previously of Journal Canteen and now working on a new venture which will open later this year, joins us to lead a hands-on session all about pasta. Rosa's food draws on both her Sicilian roots as well as the fundamental ethos of the Slow Food movement, and we are privileged to welcome her to our Learning Centre kitchen for this special workshop all about pasta – then and now.

Details

It's so easy to make pasta at home and in this workshop Rosa will draw on a lifetime of cooking knowledge to not only look at the different types of pasta and which ones you can make, but also discuss how to make it using both traditional and modern methods.

After making the pasta, participants will turn their attention to look at traditional pasta sauces made from fresh, seasonal produce. The group will also be making the traditional Sicilian sauces of both Meat Ragu and Prapanese Pesto, to form the basis of a light lunch with a glass of wine, salads and bread.
