This workshop will give you all the skills you need to create an abundant urban paradise. You can grow all the delicious produce your family can pick, eat and preserve, without using chemical fertilisers or pesticides. Wendy, who specialises in organic and sustainable gardening methods, will cover all the techniques including companion planting and taking advantage of beneficial predators.

Details

Wendy van Dort is a Garden Specialist at Elwood Primary School and is a keen proponent of urban food production and sustainable garden practices. Wendy has years of experience designing and building organic gardens and is passionate about empowering the community to find creative ways to grow fresh, organic produce. Wendy helped start the Port Phillip Urban Fresh Food Network (PPUFFN), a network that raises awareness about food security and encourages people to learn the organic principals of gardening. You will benefit from the planning skills and design knowledge Wendy has to offer you in your gardening journey.

Please bring a layout of your garden/house that includes your established trees and plants – a question and answer session will follow the workshop. A selection of design sheets will be also provided to take home.
