Volunteers are integral participants in kitchen and garden classes, and are vital to the Program's success. This session, led by Elwood PS Program Coordinator Kathryn Millet, focuses both on finding volunteers and the tried and tested ways of keeping them coming back.

Details

Many schools find that recruiting and retaining volunteers can prove a challenge. Kathryn Millett, long-time Program Coordinator at Elwood PS, has successfully integrated a dynamic volunteer structure at Elwood PS and will lead this session. Kathryn will first look at successful case studies and strategies from existing Kitchen Garden Schools, and include time to discuss individual situations within a group workshop scenario.
