Details
Leanne was born in Cairns and raised with an appreciation of the beautiful surrounding natural environment. Revegetation using the subtropical rainforest species of QLD and NSW was a hobby while flying professionally for 18 years. Leanne retired due to medical reasons in 1997, and her ill health led to personal study of nutritional and herbal medicine. This in turn led to in-depth studies of soil science and ecological agriculture, in an effort to grow food with the maximum nutrient density possible. Now passionate about home-grown health, Leanne lives semi-sustainably on five acres at Samfor, with her husband and three boys, and works in the role of Coordinator of the Samford Organic Group.
Leanne will take participants through the how and why of successional planting for your school gardens.
