This is an inspirational day that showcases some beautiful and productive school gardens as well as the schools' home-style kitchens, and gives participants a chance to get closer to the Program in action.

Join the tour to view kitchen and garden classes in action, speak to Foundation staff and school staff, and enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch. We will be visiting four of our model Kitchen Garden Schools on this tour: North Arm State School, Kin Kin State School, Golden Beach State School and Chevallum State School, before returning by 4pm to our original pick-up point at the Nambour Train Station.

The tours are suitable for staff from interested schools and new Kitchen Garden Schools, as well as our Subscribers and interested members of the public.

Additional Details

Please bring a notebook and pen, camera, some water and snacks; lunch is provided. As we will be visiting school gardens a hat and sunscreen/coat and appropriate footwear are advised.

Please note this tour is not suitable for children.

The bus will leave at 8:30am, so please assemble by 8:15am to enable a prompt start. Meet the bus on the southern end of Mill Street Nambour outside the Train Station. To get to the bus, access the Train and Bus Interchange on Mill Street from the car park via the walkway underpass. Walk past the train station towards the southern end of Mill Street where you will find us. It is important that we leave at 8:30am sharp as this is a public transport zone.

Note parking is available in the Commuter Car Park on Price Street.
