Specialist Professional Development is the ultimate kitchen garden learning experience: an entire day filled with hands-on workshops, discussions and skill sessions. The training is designed to enhance Kitchen Garden Specialists' knowledge and skills, to help them plan, prepare and deliver successful, engaging and enjoyable kitchen and garden classes in their schools. Participants will enjoy sessions based on Kitchen Garden Program activities such as bread making, sausage making, fruit-tree espaliering and caring for chooks.

All participants should come out of the day with:

– increased knowledge and skills in areas specific to the kitchen and/or garden
– the ability to transfer their knowledge and skills into kitchen garden classes
– having shared experiences and ideas and gained knowledge from other Specialists
– an awareness of neighbouring schools within their regions and a plan for future regional meetings.
